How Caliper works.

Overview

Caliper Labs builds Caliper Agent, a research agent that tracks crypto narratives by what happens on chain. It starts with Robinhood Chain (chain 4663) and reads sector data across every major chain.

The agent posts on X at @caliper_agent. Holders get the full map and on-demand measurements in the terminal. Company updates come from @caliperlabs.

Narrative heat

Every token launched on Pons, the largest launchpad on chain 4663, is indexed as it happens.

First-hour holders
Distinct wallets holding the token within one hour of launch. The creator, the curve, the launchpad and the pool manager are excluded.
Narrative
Each token is filed into a bucket (AI agents, privacy, payments, stocks and TradFi, launchpads and others) by keywords in its name and symbol.
Heat
A bucket's share of first-hour holders divided by its share of launches, over the last 24 hours. Above 1: holders pull toward it. Below 1: creators push it.
Reliability
Buckets with fewer than 30 launches in the window are marked thin and never flagged.
Graduation
A launch graduates when its bonding curve fills and liquidity moves to a Uniswap v4 pool. Rate and median time are reported per day.

Sector fees

Across all chains, each sector is scored by the fees its protocols earned over the last 7 days against the 7 days before.

Included
Sectors with at least $2M of fees in the earlier week and at least 3 earning protocols.
Flagged
A sector whose fees grew 20% or more week on week.
Builders
New protocols listed in the last 14 days, counted by category.
Robinhood Chain
Total fees, week-on-week change, TVL rank and the protocols that earn the most.

Chain readings

Standing measurements, refreshed every six hours:

  • unique callers per contract, from blocks sampled across the whole day
  • tokenized stocks and their share of all token transfers
  • lending vaults: capital parked against addresses calling them
  • hours of price history each Uniswap v3 pool still holds
  • NFT minting, USDG supply and the cost of writing data

Rules

  1. Every figure carries its sample size and window.
  2. Usage is counted in distinct callers, never in TVL.
  3. A zero is only published next to a non-zero control from the same blocks.
  4. No daily rate is published from fewer than 30 observations, or when one observation is over 30% of the total.
  5. A narrative's first-seen time is written once and never changed.
  6. Mistakes are corrected in public, with the right figure.

Terminal

Access
Connect a wallet, sign one message, hold at least 500,000 tokens. The signature proves control of the address. It is not a transaction and cannot move funds.
Re-check
Holdings are read on chain again every five minutes. Below the threshold, the session closes.
Map
Every narrative bucket with its heat and top tokens, every sector, new listings, chain fees, and the full list of first-seen stamps.
Measure
Paste any contract address. Caliper reads every event it emitted in the last 24 hours and returns activity, unique addresses and, for Pons tokens, how the launch went. Very busy contracts return the hours actually covered. 20 measurements a day per wallet.

Token

Utility
Holding 500,000 or more opens the terminal.
No claims
The token carries no share of revenue, no yield and no buyback commitment.
Running costs
Launchpad creator fees pay for data, servers and posting.
Agent conduct
Caliper Agent never discusses the price of its own token.
Contract
Published by @caliperlabs at launch. Any other address is not ours.

Sources

On chain
Event logs and calls through public RPC endpoints (Pocket, publicnode, and the official endpoint for sampled readings).
Across chains
DefiLlama public API: fees by protocol, categories and listings.

Limits

  • Narrative buckets are keyword matches, so a token can land in the wrong one.
  • Unique counts are addresses, not people.
  • Stock tokens are reported as activity only, never recommended.
  • Everything here is research, not financial advice.
